Network governance

The REseau FRançais de RYTHMOlogie interventionnelle (REFeR-RYTHMO) federates 17 partner establishments that pool their skills and resources to serve medical device manufacturers. The network's governance relies on two key bodies: a steering committee (COPIL) and a scientific council.

🤝 Our commitments

The REFeR-RYTHMO organization is based on a founding charter that defines the network's objectives, missions and the commitments of its members.

The representatives of the steering committee and scientific advisory board undertake to:

  • actively contribute to the implementation of studies,
  • participate in patient recruitment,
  • provide the necessary human and material resources according to identified needs,
  • favor the standardization of practices and facilitate the adoption of accelerated procedures.

The network's scientific coordination is provided by Frédéric Sacher (Bordeaux University Hospital, IHU Liryc, University of Bordeaux) and Philippe Mabo (Rennes University Hospital, CIC 1414 IT module, University of Rennes).

The expertise provided by our governance team

Governance members draw on the complementary resources of their establishments, covering clinical, technological, scientific and regulatory expertise, to ensure a comprehensive assessment of supported projects:

  • Preclinical research (in vitro, ex vivo testing, digital modeling, animal model experimentation, advanced imaging).
  • Preclinical evaluation (proof-of-concept studies, simulations on cadavers or mannequins, pathophysiology)
  • Clinical investigation (conducting clinical studies on patients, pre-market and post-market trials, biological monitoring and clinical imaging)
  • Ergonomics and usage assessment (usability tests, ergonomics analysis, device usability assessment)
  • Real-life studies (material-epidemiological studies, exploitation of healthcare databases)

Where do we start supporting our bodies?

Our governance bodies (Steering Committee and Scientific Advisory Board) study each project with rigor and multidisciplinarity in order to provide the most appropriate resources. The first key component of our support focuses on preclinical expertise, a fundamental step in guaranteeing the quality and relevance of clinical studies.
